Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes what information readabilitycheck.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions go to team@readabilitycheck.com.
What we collect
- Text you paste into the calculator. Processed entirely in your browser. Not transmitted, stored, or logged.
- Files you open in the calculator. Read entirely in your browser. Never uploaded, stored, or logged.
- Shareable reports. A report you create is stored only in its link, after the
#. Browsers never send that part of a link to a server, and the report page loads no analytics. We never receive or keep a copy. Anyone you give the link to can read what’s in it, including your text if you chose to include it. - Standard server logs. Cloudflare records request metadata (IP, user agent, referrer, timestamps) for security and performance.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-SPCSNWCMSK) to understand aggregate site usage — page views, traffic sources, broad geographic region, browser, and device type. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically
_gaand_ga_*) for this purpose. We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. - Affiliate tracking. Pages other than shared reports load a tracking tag from Impact, an affiliate network. It records that a page was viewed and turns links to Impact’s advertisers into affiliate links, so we may earn a commission if you buy after clicking one. It may set cookies in your browser to do this. It never receives the text you paste or the files you open.
Cookies and advertising
We set no cookies of our own. Google Analytics and Impact’s affiliate tag, described above, may set cookies. If third-party advertising (Google AdSense) is enabled in the future, those providers may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve and measure ads.

What we do not collect
- No accounts, sign-ups, or email addresses.
- No storage or sharing of pasted text.
- No sale of personal data.
Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
EU / UK / Switzerland (GDPR). If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data. Because we do not collect identifying data on our own systems, there is little to act on at our end; to make a request, email the address in the Contact section.
California (CCPA / CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any CCPA right, email the address in the Contact section.
Children
Not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
